School District of Philadelphia x Jefferson University
Youth Risk Behavior Survey Sleep Brochure

The School District of Philadelphia conducts an annual Youth Risk Behavior Survey, backed by the CDC, among participating high schools annually, that ask a number of teenage & student health related questions. The YRBS serves to educate and inform students & their families of pertinent information, and is also used by SDP board members to determine the level of funding & priority for city wide school resources.

In partnership with the CDC & SDP data researchers, this brochure on the topic of sleep among high school students was created as part of a larger series of brochures tackling various topics using data visualization to convey complex & nuanced information specifically to students and their families in an approachable & destigmatized manner.
