Sleep Cycle Data Visualization
The purpose of this data portrait is to track and analyze my sleep schedule during a 10 day period, in the form of a complex data visualization. It documents the four main variables that contribute to my sporadic night-to-night sleeping patterns, including the time I went to sleep, the reason I went to sleep at that time, the amount of hours I slept, and the quality of my sleep from 1 to 5 stars. The chart reflects a visualization of each nights' start and end times of sleep, as well as the length of my sleep via each circular line.
The key tracks two variables: reason & quality. The color family reflects the reason I went to sleep and the shade/gradation of color reflects the quality of the sleep. Darker colors mean lower quality of sleep and lighter colors mean higher quality of sleep.
